#6: WEDDING--MUSEUM--CAKES!!

Assalammualaikum and Hello people!!

Its Audit Akreditasi week guys!! Yes, its tiring. And public holiday on Sunday for 3 weeks in a row (1st for Sukan Sea celebration, 2nd for Cuti Agong and 3rd for Hari Malaysia) was not helping at all in terms of patients. Sunday is like Monday outside Kelantan. Sunday is hectic day. Im barely change my lunch call or WP2 with others if my turn on Sunday because patient unbelievable ramai!! Kesian menyusahkan orang yang ganti pulak. 3 days for audit, we had to deal with patients and “kedai" bukak macam biasa ye. Well, enough said about works! Its boring!! 

Next vacays were in August session. 2 months to cover. Sigh! I think I need to travel and stay in hotel for monthly basis, hence blog will more regular update. Alasan!!

Wedding @Batu Gajah, Malacca

Malacca is like my 3rd home. Hahaha. 1st of course Kelantan, 2nd will be Subang Jaya and 3rd is Malacca. Yes, we sacrifice a lot of time, energy and MONEY! Till the point hubs thought, “we should suggest to ministry to provide allowance for long distance relationship”. “In your dream husband” hahaha. Since august had school holidays, a lot of wedding invitation then, like  A LOT!! One was from hubs cousin, the bride from Batu Gajah. We had “we time” before attend the wedding. Romantic is must yarr. Lagi lama kahwin, lagi banyak cara kena improvised to keep love warmth and sparkling. The matchy2 was coincident. Not easy to set up matchy2 attire since one of us travelling. Of course I love the idea of matchy2.

@ Pantai Puteri. A bit far from our home @jasin. We only reached here almost at Maghrib prayer. luckily no child yet. A NO-NO if you guys got small kids.

We learned others adat here, like bayar toll. Interesting. Hahaha. Our convoy had theme —grey and purple. I realised that most adat is almost similar among states. 

You see:

1. toll = pay to the keeper so that the groom can see the bride. The keeper can asked things for groom. The gift/paid will be the bride’s right only. Usually, the south states are famous with toll term. 
2. “mengenal” (kindly pronounce in Kelantan’s dialect which is more accurate) = basically, the relatives aunties, uncles will see the bride/groom during sanding and offered some money as souvenir/gift. The gift will be the bride/groom’s right only.

Basically toll and mengenal had similar concept. 

3. Majlis kesyukuran = term for Kelantan’s adat where a wedding reception that tuan rumah will invite the whole family and didn't expect any in returns. Just come and eat.
4. Walimatulurus or “mengile” (kindly pronounce in Kelantan’s dialect which is more accurate) = term of Kelantan’s adat where a wedding reception that tuan rumah will invite and expect the guest to provide some gift/money. Basically, we will standby at least rm10 or more.

5. BUT for other state, Walimatulurus = is just a wedding reception that tuan rumah invited all to celebrate the bride and groom. My experience was that I wrote of walimatulurus dyana & amir and luckily mama double checked my invitation cards before printing it. We changed to majlis kesyukuran. It might look simple, but it did gave a big impact. Phewww.

6. Hantaran = for Kelantan’s style, the hantaran was included in mas kahwin (no specific amount of man kahwin stated), so basically whatever money the groom’s family gave to the bride, its belong to brides only. The kenduri’s cost usually been covered by family themselves.
7. BUT, its different from other states as the mas kahwin had specific amount stated and the hantaran is part of the kenduri’s cost. So, don't be surprised if the bride’s family request like serba satu and half before event another half few days after event.

But please don't make a fuss. This is just from my own experiences as I'm married with hubs from Kelantan and also I have 2 brothers that married with non-kelantan, sorang from shah alam, sorang from cheras. Its not a big deal. Its just their adat, their culture. Families can discuss and reached mutual agreement. Because at the end, we want to celebrate the love of bride and groom and the union of 2 families.

So, end of our wedding reception on bride's side. Luckily the event was Saturday, hence I managed to join, otherwise, hubs will go without me. Pheww! Then, got the groom's side sambut menantu. We had rewang a day before, I only managed to join on the night side because of working, they did a tahlil as well. 

Us @ pelamin. Hubs is part of "jung kako", that explain on the short pants, while I'm straight from hospital, take off for 3 hours so that I can join them on the evening side. Love the decoration, pastel colour.

Museum Istana Batu @ Kota Bharu

Since it was August trip, I can't remember why we went to Kota Bharu that time. But, we did had lunch at Restoran Ulam Cikgu, the famous restaurant one, and off to this museum, in front of the restaurant. Let just say, Kelantan weather was dramatic, too hot or too rainy or too humid, everything was "too", hence thats explain the usage of umbrella. I insisted on using umbrella, I can't afford to let the melanin pigment win and burn my face, despite already apply the protective cream spf 25++. Hahaha. I don't know why I need to mention it. *flip hair*

that hubs' umbrella, colourful huh. If mine, only red one, and thats from the free gift of my 3years of Doraemon. Sigh!

Art Museum @ Kota Bharu

After Museum Istana Batu, we went to Art Museum, practically in front of each other. I can't remember when my last time when to this museum, but its first time for my hubs. 

It got fake fire in that thing. Yes, we were "whowww". Hahaha

Next to the museum, they got art class to join. This painting was UiTM art student project, with theme of "Bangkit" surely we still manage to identify the "Bangkit" in this picture, for our football team. I didn't take the other pictures as they are quite disturbing. Ill describe for you guys, they got pictures of graveyard, long black fingers, black moon yada yada yada. 

Wedding @ Kok Lanas

Like I said, its wedding season!! So another wedding to go. The groom is hub's cousin. And families agree to wear the same attire, and I took my square bawl. Its been a long time sisthur. Hahaha

Wedding @ Batu 30

Wedding invitation from our pharmacy's cleaner, Kak Yam for her younger sister. Since its working day, we only managed to go during lunch hour, get back to hospital sharp at 2pm, quickly had solar and off for come presentation. Now thats what we call: time management! Hahaha.

The bride always look stunning. Kak Yam is in the pink attire. My junior is the front one. I tumpang kereta my junior, I told her, I don't think it wise to bring Doraemon and somehow, I'm right! Hahaha

Birthday Celebration: Anic & Damia

Both birthday in early September, hence we advance it a week early since all been here. Its been awhile not to order fondant cake. And basically, hard to find good baker with good fondant and good cake filling. I'm pretty crewed as I already had my own favourite baker in Subang Jaya. But worth to try then.

Theme was Mickey Mouse since Damia loved Mickey. The baker is in KB, since no COD that day, I had to take the cake at her house. Never mind.

Its vanilla cake with chocolate ganache as filling. The baker provide various selection of cakes and fillings, and I want to experiment the flavour. However since this for kids, we need to play safe.

Fondant cake standard price start around rm150. So stick to your budget. Discuss with baker your budget and what possible cake you able to get with your budget. 

Phew!! That is for this entry. Next entry!! I need to a little bit rush! We entering NOVEMBER!! So many thing to write with less of time. Sigh.

#5: CRUISE TRIP-HAPPY EID-CONFERENCE!!

Assalammualaikum and Hello Readers

Fighting on laziness and tiredness is a real fight guys. Hahaha. How was your holidays? Hard Raya Haji? That will on next2 post. Mine is backdated one. So please redha. Hahaha. Somehow I'm scrolling some pictures and I missed few trip. Quick catch up okay.

Cruise Trip @ Putrajaya @ April

Since we had our weekends all together, we decided to go to Putrajaya and try the cruise trip. Got few choices: some sort of boat/ferry, traditional boats with varies of specs differentiate by the cultures. Since ferry is too norm, we choose the traditional one. Sorry for no pictures, I'm still traumatise with unfortunate event of hubs samsung. Then, we went to *aiya can't remember the name—its where the hot ballon placed. But its nearby. We end up in trishaw all together. The total damages was around rm2++ for six adults 2 kiddos, its includes tickets, snack and drinks.

Happy EidFitri @ June

Alhamdulilah. Our second raya together and hundred more to come. We planned for yellow theme this year, but like my previous post, we change our mind when we saw the orange theme. No regret. Perhaps next year then. Hahaha. Along and Amani in blue theme. No Damia’s this year, its perlis rotation. Since mama can be categorised as “orang lama”, she just stayed at home and received the relatives who still remember her and baba. Since hubs kampung is just next door, both of us agreed to relax2 and take time.

I love the klcc duck. It cost me bucks. Blerghhh. 

On the next few day, we had family day in hubs side. So off to Tok Bali after work off course. Not really know their theme, just grab the peach pinky blouse, hubs on reddish pink shirt and wala, matchy2 already. The resort might look simple, yet they got swimming pool okay. Don't underestimate the simple2 resort *flipped hair* and no, I didn't swim. Segan sei. Hahaha. The activities started with children first of course, they enjoyed the swimming first, then got small activities like cari coklat dalam pasir, played ball. Once settle down, its guys turns, beach balls. Oh yes, hubs did enjoyed. Then, its photoshoot session. Hubs come from a big family and relatives. 8 sibling from ma’s side and hubs has 6 siblings as well. So been gathered in their family day, its pretty big one. We had barbecued after Maghreb prayer.  

Since siblings not satisfied with barbecue, we made another barbecue set on the next day at our home.

Ikea @ July

Look, I don't know what a big deal with Ikea meatball. Nope, not that good. I tasted much better meatball before this and Ikea meatball is not in my listed. Hahaha. But yes, the raspberry jam for the meatball is superb, something im not managed to do by myself. *lazy—flip hair*

I love the idea of big doll house like the mat salleh movie, found portion by portion by Ikea brand. Cost hubs rm50 each. *I told you, its okay not to buy, but you insisted, thanks!* hahaha

Kelantan Diabetic Updates for Pharmacist 2017 @July 

Im so excited on this event. Since I'm trained in diabetic team, its like compulsory for me to at least attend annually for diabetic stuff whether its courses or conference. Its held in Hotel Perdana. Yes, my favourite solemnisation and reception event 2 years ago. Always had soft spot.

The presenters are various from HRPZ to HUSM to IJN dietician. And I snapped all the pictures for diet stuff, easier to counsel patient regarding switching to healthy diet since not all patients will referred to dietician 

Pheww. Thats sum up till July events. Another few months backdated. Hahaha. Yes2, I'm trying to catch up and hopefully by october, I can post something new and fresh and updated.

I realized that I'm more compliance updated the blog if I'm travelling, like updated in the hotel room or in the cafe while waiting for our food. its like our home is like really homey that I tends to sleep and leisure instead. hahahaha

#4: TRIP TO PARIT BUNTAR-KUANTAN: VACATION CONTINUES!!

Assalammualaikum and Hei folks!!!

What a rough week I had to go through last week. Short of staffs, endless patients and what a better news to “cheer” me up: ONCALL. And yes, I'm still working today till this Thursday and off for leave a day. Yes!! A day!! I can't complain much I guess, since I lost my annual leave early this year. Hahaha. By time, I realise we almost losing the July and entering the August and my drafts of vacations untouched. I know.  So, shall we compress again the vacay? Heck I need to clear up the pictures and replace with new ones. So many planned-unplanned vacation ahead.

Wedding trip to Parit Buntar @ March

Yes, the event was on March!! hahaha. I take my sweet2 time updating it. We took annual leave and off we go to my friend’s wedding. I booked the nearest hotel for our easiest commute since it was our first time being there. Turns out, Parit Buntar is just a small town that hotels and restaurants and neighbourhood are side by side. By waze, our hotel was 5 minutes to the groom’s house. Hahaha. Anyhow, mama along Amani husband and I travelled from Kelantan and anic felt the urge to joined us later. Luckily I booked 3 rooms isn’t.  Hahaha. The hotel is okay, affordable, despite my preference to have at least swimming pool for the kids *more to me actually*, however, hotels with that criteria will force us 50 minutes away from the town. We spend  our time sightseeing around the town. We enjoyed awesome Men Udang Parit 30, Kuala Krau, Pantai Ban Pecah and Dataran Pinggir Parit Buntar. And don't forget NASI KANDAR ALI!! When you in utara, being like one and had nasi kandar fellas!! Hubs know how much I love museum and historical places, we did try waze there, unfortunately, it closed. I know! It unaccepted!! Hahaha.

He is my friend also known as colleague back in tawau, known him as a shy person, but a good friend indeed. He did came to my wedding 2 years ago, direct from Perak. So, I returned the favour by sending rombongan cik kiah kau. Hahaha

We here in Banjaran Titiwangsa RNR. It a must pit stop don't you think. Kids, their adorable. Amani with moody look— just woke up and damia, cheeky as always.

Wedding at Selising @ April

This is Dr Fateha. She is adorable. Somehow, I need to inject insulin since she's too sweet that day, no longer big-HarryPotter-spec, cheeky as always. She is our new MO for Diabetic Clinic here in HosMac. Basically, we have this professional relationship, I'm not knew a lot of people and they tends to get transfer pretty quick, so not so close bonds, and when come to wedding invitation, they usually had this general invitation to all units. But for her, she send a specific card to me and one pf ward. Now, how I can say no. When people appreciate you, you got to appreciate them too. Hubs not around this time but mama accompany me and her warm welcome, despite being busy with other colleagues. Of course, we gave her sweet collection tea set for her. Hehe.

Research Camp @ Cameron Highland!! @ May

Come one!! Vacation and no work? You are not anak Tan Sri that no need to work. Haha. I spend my 3 days and 2 night at Rumah Peranginan Persekutuan here in Cameron Highland for our research camp. The best part was I'm alone from the hospital. Good, great, awesome!! But hey, you never realised your potential until you reached the point. So, I'm okay, no worries. *flipping my hair* luckily we managed to key in all the data, and by time, we just analysis the data.

Ooh yes, I'm jakun! My first time travelling by provided transport. Since I can't take my leave that week, *that week, had public holiday* I decided to go by bus. First time maa. My PTM I travelled from Tawau to KL, then straight with holidays. My BTN also I drove from Kelantan and straight with holidays. And yes, red is a nice colour don't you think so?

Wedding trip to Kuantan @ May

Mama asked me whether I got planned during weekends. Since no oncall, we went to Kuantan for mama’s friend’s wedding invitation. The fact about Kuantan is that it is the middle between KL-Malacca-Kelantan. So what possibility can happened? Call hubs and walaaa, he's on the way. Another honeymoon trip for us. Again, hotel booked my booking.com and since only 3 of us ad no kids, budget hotel was good enough for us.

Yes, I love the heels. Bought from Farrabrandmy by Nad Zainal. They got orange, black, nudes and blue. Since black is too cliche, orange is difficult to mach and nude is hard to maintain, blue it is!! It cost me bucks, but hey, I look good ha. Its cute for me I guess, with the French fries, the kiss, lalala. My only and last heels. My heels-time is over *oh I miss my secondary/matric time when I can wear and run with heels without cause backache*

Had lamp-light-dinner in front of our hotel. The burger was superb, the food delicious, or perhaps we just starving. Yes, I'm chubby! Thanks!!

Funny was we managed to buy our Raya attire here in East Coast Mall Kuantan!! I know right!! What a chance. Since hubs not used being in Kuantan, I being his tourist guide, shown him my previous-less-one year Methodist secondary school, my addmath/physic-pain-in-the-ass tuition class, mama/daughter-bonding-secret-recipee-dating, my birthday-treat-Hayat-Hotel, ooh the famous Cik-Julita-Aishah-burned-house, and soooooo much more. My jogging spot, our thai favourite food restaurant, baba’s and mama’s office, favourite baba’s dry-cleaning, the so-called-library I used to spend my evening after school while waiting for baba and mama, the dreams BMW showroom, favourite lunch spot, carwash, etc. 

Alright. Thats it for now!! You know, I had to refer to photos to refresh my memories back. Seriously I don't know how people can update their blog regularly. For example, like Vivy, you watched her reality show? Updating the blogs at 1-2am?! Seriously? Im already deep in my sleep. Of course, I had this passion to update the blog every time I'm in the office, during lunch break, when I got nothing to do. But when I reached home, resting, lepaking and by 9pm, blergh, the laziness say hi. Blerghh! I know!! Hahaha. This is long enough for a decent post.

The media blamed on the depression, alcoholic and drug addiction despite 6 children, a mega concert, a future new released album, the fans, the Linkin Park team themselves, he was defeated. Defeated.
